What If I Didn’t Score Well in the JEE Exam?

2. Apply for Admission to NITs

Even if you score low in JEE you have a chance to get admission to NITs or other government universities. Please note that for getting admission to these colleges you must have secured the least cutoff marks. To get admission to the Top NITs you must have secured a rank below 10000 but if you want to enroll for the other NITs you can get admission up to a 50,000 rank.

3. Enroll for the Bachelor of Science Degree Program from a Prestigious University

Instead of a B.Tech, you can pursue a BSc. from the top universities. A graduation degree in science can also open the path to a diverse range of career opportunities for interested students. The Bachelor of Science is one of the relevant degrees for the master’s program or other career.

4. Look for Other Career options

Apart from engineering other career options are also available for the science students. Science and Maths students can pursue other courses such as BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications), B.Arch. (Bachelor of Architecture), B.Sc. in Aviation, BBA, or BMS. Students can also look for recruitment options in government jobs after class 12th and prepare for government jobs.

5. Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Program

Candidates who obtain low scores in the JEE Main may pursue a B.Sc. degree depending on their qualifying test score or the results of any other entrance examination. After completing a BSc degree in the core scientific division, there are now opportunities for lateral entrance into BTech programs. A BCA degree allows you to apply for BTech CSE or B.Tech IT.

6. Take A Year Gap

If you have faith in yourself and believe that you can perform better in the JEE Exam, a year gap can help you out.
