What is MHT CET?
MHT CET is a state-level exam organized by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test cell. The exam checks your understanding of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology based on the Class 11 and 12 syllabus of the Maharashtra State Board.
MHT CET 2025 syllabus structure
The syllabus covers topics from both Class 11 and Class 12:
- Class 11: 20% of the questions.
- Class 12: 80% of the questions.

Question paper based on syllabus
- The syllabus is prescribed by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Maharashtra.
- Approximately 20% weightage will be given to the Std. XI curriculum, and 80% weightage will be given to the Std. XII curriculum.
Marking scheme and difficulty level
- +2 marks for Mathematics questions.
- +1 mark for Physics, Chemistry and Biology questions.
- No negative marking.
- The difficulty level for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry is at par with JEE (Main).
- The difficulty level for Biology is at par with NEET.
- Questions will primarily be application-based.
Exam pattern
- Three papers of multiple choice questions (MCQ).
- Total marks for each paper: 100.
- Duration of each paper: 90 minutes.
