MHT CET Exam Pattern 2025: MHT CET is a state-level entrance exam organised by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) for admission to undergraduate engineering and pharmacy courses in Maharashtra. The exam has a difficulty level similar to that of the JEE exam and covers the syllabus for classes 11th & 12th based on the Maharashtra State Board.

MHT CET Exam Pattern 2025
The MHT CET exam comprises three papers: Paper 1 is common for PCB and PCM candidates as it covers 100 multiple-choice questions based on the class 11th and 12th curriculum for the Maharashtra state board in Physics & Chemistry. Paper 2 is for PCM students as it covers 50 questions from mathematics and Paper 3 is for PCB students appearing for the pharmacy program and covers the 100 questions based on Biology.ย
The total number of questions for PCB students is 200 while for PCM candidates is 150. The total mark for both exams is 200. The detailed exam pattern for the exam is provided in the table below:

The State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the MHT CET 2025 marking scheme. The detail of the marks allotted for each paper is given below:
- There is no negative marking for the MHT CET 2025 exam.ย
- Paper 1 for Physics and Chemistry carries 1 mark for each correct answer.
