What Documents are Required for JEE Main Seat Allotment 2025
The following documents in original and scanned copies are required for the JEE Main Seat allotment 2025:
- A Photo-identity issued by the government authorities.

JEE Main Seat Matrix 2025
The JEE Main seat matrix 2025 includes approximately 42,177 seats in the 32 NITs, 16 IIITs, and 40 GFTIs. The candidates get the seat based on their ranking in different categories and the choice of preferences they filled in the JoSAA counselling process.

Steps to be Taken After JoSAA Seat Allotment
Once the seat is allotted to the candidate, the students get the following options:
- Freeze: Under this option, the candidate is happy with the seat allotted and is willing to proceed to the next step. The candidate who freezes the seat will not be considered for the further round of the JEE counselling process.
- Float: The float option provides the candidate with the current seat allotted to him, with other options open in the subsequent rounds. The candidate can change his college or seat if he gets a better opportunity in the next round, or he will go for the previously allotted seat.
- Slide: In this option, the candidate seeks admission in the seat allotted, but is open to upgrading the branch if available in the subsequent rounds in the same institute. Otherwise, the candidate will continue with the previously allotted seat.
- Withdrawal: In this case, the candidate will not be participating in any further counselling rounds and withdraws his or her candidature by opting for the withdrawal option.
